I gave blood on Saturday. My blood pressure was good and I felt relaxed.

They called her Styrene
Apr. 22nd, 2004 | 12:20 pm
mood:
calm
music: None
I took the day off work yesterday because I needed to decrease my overall busy-ness this week. It was a great day! Plus, I found out what the cats do all day when we're not there: they sleep! and they look so comfortable when they're doing it...
I'm at work today but will be leaving soon to go downtown for our tax appeal--requested by the City of Pittsburgh, not us! We knew that the assessment was low when we bought the house (much lower than the purchase price), so in a way this is not much of a surprise.
While I was walking along Craig St to bring back my Subway lunch and chai from Kiva Han, I passed a used bookstore that had a book in the window with the title "They called her Styrene". I don't know what the book is about, but for some reason I thought of Melinda when I saw this... :-)
